Do
you know the song “Bahay Kubo”? Who can give me the tune of the song?
Now,
we can use the tune of the song Bahay Kubo in singing this song.
(Teacher’s
play the song)
Song:
(Bahay
Kubo)
What is Mang Kiko made
of? (2x)
And ,
, and
That is what Mang Kiko made of.
What
are the figures mentioned in the song?
Can
you identify each figure?
Then,
the teacher will explain the kinds of plane figures with their characteristics.
Plane
figures are closed figures.
From the video we have seen different figures and
these are:
Kinds of Plane Figures:
1.
Triangles has 3 sides
2.
Quadrilaterals like square (4 equal sides) and rectangle (2 sides are equal and
the other 2 sides are equal which shorter than the other side’s) has 4 sides.
3.
Circles
2. Group Activities
Divide
the class into 4 groups. Then give the instructions and materials.
Group1: Tracing the dots
a. Trace the dots and identify the figure.
b. Describe the figure
Group 2: Writing
Write Z
inside the figure with 3 sides, Y inside the figure with no sides and x inside
the figure with 4 sides.
Group 3: Human figure
a. Let the pupils form a figure with 4 sides, a
figure with 3 sides and a figure with no sides
b. Describe each figure
Group 4: Naming figures
Name some things inside the room with the following:
a. figures with no sides
b. figures with 4 sides
c. figures with 3 sides
After 20 minutes, let each group present their
outputs.
C. Comparison and Abstraction
Ask
the pupils: Are the figures the same? Why are the figures the same?
Is
square and triangle the same? Why?
(Thumbs
up, thumbs down)
Ask:
1. Is a Triangle a 3 sided figure?
2.
Is square a 3 sided plane figure?
D. Application
Let the pupils bring things that can be find around
the classroom according to what the teacher wants to bring by the pupils the
first one will have their reward.
E. Generalization
What
do we call a closed figure with no sides? How about a figure with 3 sides? What
about with 4 sides?
Plane
figures are closed figures. Plane figures with 3 sides are called triangles.
Those with 4 sides are called quadrilaterals; those without sides are called
circles.
IV. Evaluation
Write
your answers in ¼ sheet of paper.
1. How many
quadrilaterals are there?
2. How many circles are there?
3. How many triangles are there?
4. How many plane figures are there, all in all?
V. Assignment
Draw a robot/doll that made up of different plane
figures. You can use different art materials. Put it on a short coupon bond

First Sample Blog
HELLO!!
Making blogs is not my interest but I have no choice but to make my first blog which is to introduce myself and this might be interesting to you So, this is it!!!
I'm HAZEL MARIE GUIANA GREMIO, a third year BEED student at Notre Dame University.
I'm turning 18 this October 30. My loving parents are LOURDES G.GREMIO and RODOLFO S. GREMIO and I have a stubborn sibling, He is RODOLFO G. GREMIO Jr.
At first I to become a teacher because I think its too stressfull but now here I am taking an education course and I'm starting to love it.
I hate to write things about myself because I don't want to describe myself but I have no choice but to to do it because it is a requirement for my EdTech class.
I think that's enough to introduce myself..
JUST A REMINDER:
You were born to be real, not to be perfect. You're here to be you, not to be what someone else wants you to be. Stand up for yourself, look them in the eye, and say Don't judge me until you know me, don't underestimate me until you've challenged me, and don't talk about me until you've talked to me.
